Mayor Cherie Wood was invited by former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to participate on a panel of mayors at his National After School Summit on March 24, 2015. His team had heard of Mayor Wood's Promise South Salt Lake Initiative, and the importance of after school programs in our community. Mayor Wood shared her initiative on a national level, with hopes of influencing Washington not to cut funding for after school programs
